FY 2005 GRANT AWARDS

The Governing Council Chair and Executive Board gratefully acknowledge the W. K. Kellogg Foundation and the Lumina Foundation for Education for their recent funding of $150,000 and $25,000 respectively, to the National Institute for Native Leadership in Higher Education.

Through support of the W. K. Kellogg Foundation and the Lumina Foundation for Education's visionary Native American Higher Education initiatives, NINLHE is continuing to provide Institute participants with a program that provides professional training and development, networking with colleagues, cultural connection and spiritual renewal — a unique blend of opportunities that is, as yet, unavailable from any other higher education association.

FUNDRAISING

The Governing Council Chair and Executive Board gratefully acknowledge the Mohegan Tribe for their generous contribution of $10,000 to support NINLHE's fundraising efforts in 2006. The Tribe's friendship and expression of confidence in NINLHE's mission is greatly appreciated. We have a personal appreciation for the Tribe's interest in NINLHE's accomplishments in training educators who can be role models and mentors for our Native students.

We look forward to building a strong partnership between NINLHE and the Mohegan Tribe, so that together we may continue to improve educational opportunities of thousands of Native American college students across the U.S. and Canada.
