WELCOME to the the National Institute for Native Leadership in Higher Education (NINLHE) located at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, NM. We need your help. We would like to invite you to support the work of the National Institute for Native Leadership in Higher Education (NINLHE). Every year, thousands of Native American students enroll in colleges and universities across the country, but drop out before they graduate. NINLHE’s mission is to transform higher education in the United States and Canada in ways that improve the experiences and educational outcomes of Native students. Only three percent (yes, 3%) of Native American students entering college will graduate. NINLHE is a 501(c)(3) corporation headquartered at the University of New Mexico. The Governing Council is comprised predominantly of Native higher education professionals from public and private colleges and universities. NINLHE is the only organization in the United States whose program focus is to enhance the professional skills of higher education professionals, both Native and non-native, in order to improve Native student recruitment and retention, to increase graduation rates and to enhance the educational experiences of Native students across the United States and Canada. As a non-profit organization, we depend on contributions to continue our work. The support that NINLHE receives from individuals, sponsors, institutional members, corporations, and foundations, confirms that NINLHE is, indeed, an organization where people are making a difference for Native American students across the United States and Canada. Your generosity strengthens every aspect of our programs that strengthen staff and faculty so that the Native American students they serve may thrive and achieve their educational goals.
